This is great for such an inexpensive router. What is routers have internal, is difficult to avoid as the router unfortunately, too few GPIO ports open, flash space is limited, but if you're looking for a simple, small device it is a great and easy for modification. It has many possibilities, that possibility is like Openwrt, which is strong and flexible! Put it up on the wall, placed in the place where you want it seen, hack it, change it, show it! This is an era of mini Openwrt, the WR703 interpretation of the very heart of it. It is mostly thanks to DengFuWen; she solder the microusb ttl to make me think to try a different way to achieve it, so I found it and now we don't need the micro USB pin for the ttl-micro USB. We can use the NC pin(PIN4) now it's RX. It's works in tests very well!but we will still observe it in practical use and here is the old notes(we are not use this anymore) The inside ttl is good, but will have some additional cost. We found if you a poor power cable it may bricked the router and you need restore it so we suggest you use original cable or our ttl cable,or some other strong cable system.(not happen anymore in new inside ttl,just tips for the old design) With a small USB hub, if you like you can buy one of this hub for you wr703n, I love it because it is small and very fit the wr703. I liked the wr703 because it is cheap and easy to modify. I first began to used Openwrt router firmware with mr11u, but I soon found the wr703 as it is smaller and better. I learnt how to flash the ram then slowly my colleagues my friends asked me help them modify the router firmware. Since then I have met Flip a great guy. Now I have begun to distribute my modified wr703 router on eBay. I now modify many wr703 routers for the world.. It is a really great device and I always think is like a small magic box. It's not expensive but it smaller and in a well packaged cute shell. Yes maybe, Ras-Pi can also do a lot but the wr703 is smaller and nicely packaged in a blue plastic box. The mostly interest thing for me is automatic with the magic box; you can use it to connect to your Arduino or connect some USB stuff. I want to do more with the firmware and that's my Openwrt ambition. I see a lot of routers are TP-link devices; wr702, wr701, mr10u, mr11u, mr12u, wr720n but the best one is wr703, it's so small and cute!
